About
Our Story
Veteran Brothers Aeronautics was founded in 2026 by brothers Joshua and Justin Matlock, bringing together more than 55 years of aviation maintenance experience, military service, and a lifelong passion for aviation.
Growing up in Susanville, California, we developed an early fascination with airplanes and aviation. That passion led us down separate but parallel paths of military service. In 1994, Justin joined the Nevada Air National Guard, where he built a distinguished career maintaining and leading operations on aircraft including the RF-4C Phantom, C-130H Hercules, F-16 Fighting Falcon, and F-15C Eagle. In 1995, Joshua joined the California Army National Guard before continuing his aviation career in the United States Army.
Over the next three decades, we accumulated experience across military, government, civilian, instructional, and general aviation environments. While our careers took different paths, our shared passion for aviation remained constant.
For many years, Veteran Brothers Aeronautics existed only as a dream shared between two brothers. Through the encouragement of our families, the support of our father, and God’s guidance along the way, that dream eventually became a reality. Their belief in us gave us the confidence to take the leap and build a company founded on faith, family, service, and a passion for aviation.
That passion eventually led us to become pilots and aircraft owners ourselves. We purchased our first aircraft together, a Jabiru J400, and later added a Piper Cherokee Six to our family fleet.
As a faith-based, family-owned business, we believe that God comes first in everything we do. Our faith guides our decisions, our relationships, and our commitment to serving others with integrity and excellence.
Our mission is simple: provide aircraft owners with the kind of maintenance experience we would expect for our own airplanes—built on trust, technical excellence, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.
